After being arrested, you may face two separate legal processes:- A criminal case in court
- A DMV hearing (which is an administrative case) that determines whether you keep your driver’s license
Penalties for First-Time and Repeat DUI Offenses?

Work with expert lawyers
Unlike many law offices that assign client cases to young associates, attorney Ardalon Fakhimi will personally handle all significant aspects of your case from start to finish, including all settlement discussions, negotiations, and the trial. He will personally answer all of your questions and navigate you through every stage of your case. We never use inexperienced associates who are just learning the practice of DUI and criminal law. Similarly, we are NOT a high volume law office. Rather, we emphasize a very personalized attorney-client relationship where our clients are in continuous contact with their DUI and criminal lawyer; not their lawyer’s assistant. Finally, we are a detail-oriented law office that meticulously strategizes every case. That means no stone remains unturned during the course of our representation and through the final disposition of your case.
We serve clients from Sherman Oaks, Van Nuys, Torrance, for Domestic Violence, Petty Thefts, DUI Under-21 Cases.
F&Q:
1. How long does a DUI stay on my record in California?
Like all crimes, a DUI conviction stays on your criminal record for life, unless you take stept to expunge your case after the conviction, and after the probationary period has ended. DUI convictions are “priorable” for 10 years following your date of violation. This means that your conviction can be used to lead to more serious penalties of any other DUI you get within 10 years of your prior DUI. DUI convictions also affect your insurance rates and future employment. However, even if you are convicted of a DUI, your lawyer can help you expunge (dismiss) the conviction after you complete probation (usually a 3-year period), restoring your clean record.
2. Can a Persian DUI attorney help with my DMV hearing too?
Absolutely! Your DUI lawyer can represent you at your DMV hearing, challenge the suspension of your driver’s license, and ensure your rights are protected both in court and with the DMV. DMV hearings are complex and non-lawyers are simply not equipped to effectively handle them without qualified legal representation. In fact, most lawyers are not properly trained to handle DMV hearings unless they have spent years learning about them and handling such hearings. We have been routinely conducting DUI hearings since 2001!
3. How much does it cost to hire a Persian DUI lawyer?
The cost varies depending on the complexity of your case, but at California Criminal Defense Center, we offer free consultations and credit card options or payment options. We’ll discuss your case honestly and clearly before you make any decisions.
